    • HT2-R1        Humidity Temperature
      • The Humidity / Temperature board monitors humidity and temperature. It uses the DS2438Z 1-wire chip as well as the HIH-3610-001 humidity sensor, and has an additional DS18S20 for more precise temperature measurements over the built in temperature sensor in the DS2438Z.

        This board is based on Jim Jennings’ schematic with a new smaller board layout. It is compatible with all weather software that supported the JJWare Humidity / Temperature board.

    • DC2-R1        Dual Counter
      • The Dual Counter board contains 2 independent active low external trigger inputs and each counter can be used for anything that has a switch closure like a rain gauge, water meter, etc. It uses the DS2423P 1-wire chip and it has a lithium battery that maintains the counters even when power is removed from the device. This battery should last many years.

    • LD3-R1        Lightning Dectector
      • The Lightning Detector board uses the DS2423P 1-wire chip to count lightning strikes through an opto coupled antenna. It is based on a design by Tim Bitson.

        With a 12” to 18” antenna it will be able to pick up lightning more than 50 miles away.

    • SR2-R1        Solar Radiation
      • The Solar Radiation detector uses the DS2438Z 1-wire chip and a Clairex photodiode to measure sunlight.

 

    • RR1-R1       Relay
      • Relay board has four 3 amp normally open relays controlled by DS2405 1-wire chips.

 

    • LCD1-R1     LCD Driver
      • The LCD Driver board is used to connect character LCDs to the 1-wire network. It uses the DS2408 1-wire chip to communicate with the LCD. It supports LCDs that use the industry standard HD44780 controller and have a compatible single row pin out. It also includes support for 3 buttons.

 

    • HVAC1-R1  HVAC Monitor
      • The HVAC Monitor board uses the DS2450 1-wire chip to monitor whether an HVAC unit is running. It has 4 channels so it can monitor heat, cool and fan on one unit or heat and cool on two different units. When wired across the connections in the thermostat it monitors the voltage drop across the contacts.

 

    • MM1-R1 Moisture Detector
      • The Moisture Meter board uses the DS2760 1-wire chip to measure moisture. The Moisture Meter measures the change in resistance of moisture sensors by using AC excitation, and has galvanic isolation. AC excitation stops electrolysis that would take place if DC excitation were used and the galvanic isolation provides more accurate readings if multiple sensors are being used in the same general location.

 

    • GSS1-R2 Gypsum Soil Sensor
      • The Gypsum Soil Sensor is a low cost, time tested way to measure soil moisture. The sensors are approx. 1 3/4” long and 1 1/2” in diameter.

        The sensors are made in-house and come with a 3’ lead. Other lengths of lead can be made by request for an additional charge.

    • BB4-R2        Bray Barometer
      • The Bray Barometer measures atmospheric pressure. The v4 board is based on the David Bray design with a new layout based on the Jim Jennings v3 board. It uses the DS2438Z 1-wire chip as well as the MPXA4115A pressure sensor. One difference over the v3 board is that it now has two calibration potentiometers instead of one. This makes changing from LoVin to HiVin just a jumper change.
      • It is compatible with all weather software that supports v2 and v3 boards.

 

    • MMD1-R1 Mini Motion Detector
      • The Mini Motion Detector uses an MS-401 PIR sensor and a DS2405 1-wire chip. It provides a high output lasting approx. 1 sec when motion is detected.

 

    • LWSW-R1 Leaf Wetness Sensor
      • The Leaf Wetness Sensor is a circuit board that has rows a parallel traces. The resistance between these traces will decrease as the sensor gets wet. A solder mask has been used to keep oxidation down and to make the sensor react more like a real leaf.
